Beaumont, Alberta – just 3 kilometres south of Edmonton, is a quiet and comfortable town that was originally a French farming community. The town has grown over the years to the point where it could technically be called a city, with a population in 2013 of 14,916 people. Fuelled mostly by people working in Edmonton but wanting a quieter pace of life to raise their families, Beaumont has grown rapidly over the past decade. In 2006 this community was named one of the fastest growing municipalities in Canada (seventh fastest).
Recent improvements to the commuter road linking Beaumont to Edmonton via 50th Street, with a direct connection to the Anthony Henday ring road have made this hidden gem even more attractive to folks who want access to the big city amenities and employment opportunities, while enjoying the pace and peaceful lifestyle a smaller community has to offer.
